Domaine Duseigneur, Cuvée Matteo 2020, Chateauneuf-Du-Pape

Domaine Duseigneur in the Rhone region produces  Cuvée Matteo Chateauneuf Du Pape  Red wine from Grenache and Syrah grape varieties, which is aged in French oak barriques (barrels) for 9 months.

The palate displays the pure expression of a unique terroir with silky and smooth tannins. Still young, so depending on palate preferences, It can be drunk now, or aged for 10 years in the cellar as the robe turns ruby and aromas of red fruits, leather and underbrush will continue to develop.

This wine pairs best with strong dishes like Lamb or beef stew it’s a perfect expression of Chateauneuf Du Pape.

Domaine Duseigneur

A family Tradition

Five generations of winemakers

Hailing from a family of winemakers, settled in Saint Laurent des Arbres, on the other side of the Rhône, I took charge of the Domaine in 2002. After an investment banker experience in the City, I reconnected with my Mediterranean roots by continuing my father’s and brother’s work, Jean and Frédéric, before pitching my tent on the left bank of the Rhône in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

In a partnership since 2007 with Philippe Faure-Brac, elected the world’s best sommelier in 1992, I have the privilege of working with one of the world’s finest wine connoisseurs who also possesses a true passion for terroirs and winemakers.

A Unique Terroir

For centuries, Châteauneuf-du-Pape has given birth to exceptional wines that defy time and fascinate the wine lovers.

This place finds its everlasting magic in the divine trilogy formed by the sun, the wind and the well-known round pebbles. But Terroir is nothing without the sweat of men. The main grapes grown are Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, the winning trio for Chateauneuf-du-pape.
