Condrieu

Condrieu is an AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) wine region located in the northern Rhône valley in France. It is known for producing high-quality white wines made from the Viognier grape variety. The wines are characterized by their rich, complex flavours and aromas, with notes of apricot, peach, and honey. They are known for their full-bodied, oily textured and high alcohol content. Condrieu wines are considered to be some of the best expressions of the Viognier grape variety. The Condrieu AOC was established in 1940. The region is relatively small, with only around 150 hectares of vineyards, but it has a high reputation for its wines.
