Cros des Calades

Cros des Calades Ballon Rosé is made from Grenache and Syrah, the grapes are organically grown and the fermentation take place with the naturally present yeast on the grapes. This is not your regular south of France rosé, the colour is already much darker then what you see so often but the nose and the palate are far more complex and rich. We could call this a very light red, served chilled this is what you need on summers day BBQ, it is very fruity and asking for more !

The Cros des Calades is a newly created winery by Florence and Benoit Chazallon du Chateau de la Selve. They vinify the organic grapes of 5 vineyards around their cellar that are only 5 km away. It is situated in Grospierre in the southern rhone region. They have the same ethos as on their main Chateau, respect of the soil, minimal intervention in the vineyard and the winery. In order to have purity and freshness in their wines. The wines are easy drinking and fit perfectly well in their range of products.The Ballon range is declined in Red, White, and Rosé.
